Liverpool fluff their lines as Champions League dream ends in familiar fashion
Oct 19, 2021
The Reds were unable to turn around the two-goal deficit from their first-leg defeat against Real Madrid as they played out a 0-0 draw at Anfield
In the end, even for Liverpool, it is a bridge.
The man of Jurgen Klopp did not have the miracle of Anfield. They left a Champions League from Madrid for the second consecutive season, failing to beat the first leg deficit at home.

Liverpool gasped, they couldn't breathe, but they couldn't blow up the house at all. That night ended 0-0, and the Red Army was eliminated by a 3-1 defeat in the Spanish capital eight days ago.
That is where the damage is caused. Klopp would regret the way his team started the game. Passive, nervous, and chaotic. With a goal from Mohamed Salah, he returned to the draw, how they will attack. They ceded control to their opponents so quickly.
The 2-1 loss is manageable, but the 3-1 is a killer, especially since no 12th person yelled at them at Anfield.
Facts have proved that Real Madrid can withstand the inevitable second-round attack, while Liverpool cannot turn dominance into a goal.
They have at least one correct choice. Their performance is higher than what we saw in Madrid-to be fair, it must be a must. Klopp cannot blame his players for their efforts, beliefs or hearts.
They are organized, but? This is another matter entirely.
The opportunity came, especially in the first half of the year, but did not seize the opportunity. At Anfield recently, goals have always been important, and they couldn't find one here, let alone two.
Their performance was unsatisfactory, with Salah and Gini Wijnaldum making serious mistakes before the break. Wijnaldum will especially have nightmares against him.
Salah may have done better within three minutes of the game, winning from Tibaut Courtois within three minutes of the game. The former Chelsea goalkeeper was quickly in his best form. He saved him from James Milner's all-out effort, who was destined to reach the top corner with a 25-yard standing.
Liverpool’s aspirations are there, and their sense of urgency and aggression is clearly visible. Milner unexpectedly defeated Thiago Alcantara in midfield, set the tone in the opening seconds, and broke into Karim Benzema firmly and impartially. The message has been sent.
Real Madrid sometimes struggled in the opening 45 minutes and was uneasy with Liverpool's rhythm. Even the brilliant Toni Kroos spotted the radar, even though Benzema saw the cross shot deflected towards the post after a rare forward charge.
When the whistle blew in the first half, the tie was still there. Although you suspect Klopp's team would regret their mistake, they had a chance and blew it.
