The club icon is once again being linked with an exit from Camp Nou, and a former Barca forward says there would be no shortage of suitors

Rivaldo said Lionel Messi may be attracted by the Manchester United meeting with Pep Guardiola, and people are full of new speculations about his future at Camp Nou.

Spanish radio station Cadena SER reported on Thursday that Messi will sign his current contract in Barcelona and leave in 2021.

Despite the current turmoil around the club, the possibility of Messi leaving Barcelona is still very small, but if he decides to withdraw, then many clubs will be interested.

Manchester City have had contact in the past, and former Barcelona striker Rivaldo thinks he can easily switch to the Premier League.

"If he considers leaving the club, then there must be nothing good in the locker room in Barcelona, maybe he is tired of all the problems that have arisen around the club over the past few months," Rivaldo told Betfair.

"When Messi's contract ends, he will be 34 years old, but I think his class can still easily participate in the Premier League.

"I would be sad to see him leave Barcelona and once his contract is over, eventually, but I still hope he can stay now.

"Despite his connection with the club, he has the right to move if he wants, and the reunion with Guardiola in Manchester City will attract him because the two have established a good coach and player partnership in Barcelona."

Another potential destination touted by Messi is Juventus.

Fighting side by side with Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin can realize the craziest dreams of many football fans.

In addition, Messi can replace the Portuguese, who will be 36 years old by the summer of 2021 and may be looking for new challenges.

Rivaldo said: "With all these speculations, I believe that some agents have dreamed of Juventus' Messi-Ronaldo doubles and how big it is globally." #aclotzone

"If this happens, it will be a'prosperous' world, and I believe Juventus will soon receive any investment from Argentina, thanks to their promotion from popularity and marketing.
