Oct 19, 2021
The Gunners are looking for new players this summer, and technical director Edu is keen on the Argentine superstar of Norwich City
This summer, Arsenal is looking for Emiliano Buendia and they are looking for a replacement for Martin Odegaard.
The Gunner is a long-time admirer of Norwich's organizers. During his three years coaching at Carrow Road, he watched his games countless times.
Now they are preparing to strengthen this interest, and Mikel Arteta is eager to add another creative player to his team before the 2021-22 season.
Arsenal have not officially announced their offer for Buendia, but as discussions within the club surge ahead of the summer transfer window, he has risen to the top of their organizer's goals.
Odegard borrowed from Real Madrid in the second half of the season. In north London, Arteta hopes that he can extend the Norwegian International for at least another year.
But Odegarde’s future is still unclear. If the current boss Zidane Zidane continues to move forward at the end of the campaign, Madrid is expected to give him a chance next season.
Therefore, Arsenal are considering other options, with Real Betis’s Nabil Fekir on the list of possible targets. .
This summer, one of Arsenal's top priorities is to add more creativity to a team that is difficult to beat this season.
They believe that Buendia, who has just been named the champion of the season, can make a real contribution in the 2021-22 campaign.
The 24-year-old has had an extraordinary season and played an important role in Norwich's 6-point championship.
In 39 appearances, he scored 15 goals and contributed 17 assists, more than any other player in the department.
He also created greater chances than championship champions, completed more games with the ball, and gained more passes in the final third
Arsenal has not yet made an offer for Buendia, and it is believed that Norwich is asking for about 40 million pounds for the attacking midfielder. The latter has three years of contract and has just been called up by Argentina.
Norwich boss Daniel Farke said of the prospect of selling Buendia earlier this month: “Of course, if one of the best clubs in the world wants Amy as a starter and makes it difficult Confident offer, then this is a realistic solution for all parties.
"If there is a club that wants to provide some crazy offers, then maybe you will use it to help the club in the future, but as the head coach, my first idea is to further cooperate with our main players."
