Traore set to end Liverpool & Barcelona transfer speculation by signing new Wolves deal

Oct 19, 2021
The Spanish winger was deadlocked at the beginning of the season due to the new terms, but is now ready to invest his future in the Molineux club
Wolves winger Adama Traore is negotiating a new contract with the Premier League club.

The Spain international was considering his future when he lost his place in the fall, but is now ready to sign new terms when he becomes a regular player again.

However, any transaction may include a gentleman’s agreement to allow him to leave if the larger club bids a certain fee.

Traore contract negotiations are active
Traore's current contract will not expire until 2023, but the Wolves are eager to link the 25-year-old player with a long-term contract. The goal is to understand that both parties are eager to reach an agreement, and negotiations on the new contract seem to be positive.

However, things were different at the beginning of the season, when Traore often fell behind Pedro Neto in the Rangers' pecking order after a decline in his form after the previous battle ( Pedro Neto) and Daniel Podence (Daniel Podence).

At that stage, the former Middlesbrough and Aston Villa guys are ready to move elsewhere, but 14 of the past 15 games have started and he has now changed his position.

Although any agreement is reached, it should be understood that if a large club bids a certain amount, players can move on. This is not a formal release clause, it is rare in England, so it is more like a gentleman's agreement.

N’Golo Kante left Leicester for Chelsea in the summer of 2016 due to similar arrangements.

Bigger picture
After selling Diogo Jota and Matt Doherty last summer and causing long-term damage to Raul Jimenez, the Wolves are eager not to see another key player from the Molineux outlet.

Traore hopes that the message left will have a huge boost to boss Nuno Espirito Santo, who had previously had a difficult campaign mainly spent in the second half of the Premier League.

Traore's dribbling skills and upper body strength made him one of the few opposition defenders, and he was one of their star players in the first half of the 2019-20 season before the coronavirus shut down.

Liverpool, Manchester City and the former Barcelona club have all recently been linked to Trao’s relocation, so it’s no surprise that he is pushing for some kind of agreement that if one of the clubs bids in, he will allow him to move. For his future.

In return, the high transfer fee will ease the blow of losing players and enable the Wolves to bring high-quality substitute players.
