Messi has never been as good as he was under Guardiola - Ten Hag

Oct 19, 2021
Guardiola took over as Barcelona manager in 2008. Under the leadership of four consecutive seasons, Blaugrana has achieved a period of shocking success, including three La Liga titles, two King's Cup champion and two Champions League titles.

During this period, Messi also achieved extraordinary personal success, winning the Golden Globe Award for four consecutive years from 2009 to 2012#aclotzone

In Guardiola's last season, the Argentinian also achieved the highest league goal in his career, with 37 incredible 50 appearances in the La Liga 2011-12 season.

Since Guardiola left Barcelona, Barcelona has only won the Champions League once in eight seasons, while Messi has won the Golden Globe twice during that time-although Barcelona won La Liga five times during that time.

Ten Hager believes that during Guardiola's reign, Messi can become more of a team player. Under the leadership of the later coaches, the Argentinian level is sometimes lower than that of the Spanish.

Ten Hag told Voetbal International: "Messi is one of the leaders, but he also played for the team, so he performed well. He has never been as good as Guardiola."

"Barcelona has not won much in Europe in recent years.

"Messi still performed well, but now occasionally has reached the lower limit. Under Guardiola's rule has never been like this.

"Pep has the courage to dare to innovate."

After leaving Barcelona, Guardiola will take over Bayern Munich before the 2013-14 season. In Bavaria, ten niggers have the opportunity to work with Guardiola, and the Dutch coach Bayern's reserve team.

Ten Haigs will leave in 2015 to become the head coach of Utrecht. The next season, Guardiola will also leave Germany to take over the Premier League giants Manchester City.

After leading Ajax to the shocking 2018-19 campaign, they won the UEFA Champions League and reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. After that, Ten Hag (Ten Hag) and some of Europe ’s largest Team management positions are linked together.
