Why Chelsea are now the favourites to reach the Champions League final

Oct 19, 2021
In most cases, football has always been a distracting distraction of Covid-19, but the longer the stadium is empty, the more it feels, as if football is just reflecting on us what we want to avoid.
Gratitude began to become thinner and thinner. The game (dull, quiet, disappointing) exists in the game like our own pandemic.

Players are of course also affected by the pandemic, and it is not accidental that control or lack of control proved to be the decisive tactical feature of the pandemic because they displayed the emotional scene of the country on our TV screens. The 2020-21 election.
Manchester City controlled variables by doubling its low-tempo ball-handling ability and almost captured the Premier League title. Pep Guardiola investigated the chaos of these early results and quickly realized what to do-but few people could imitate his leadership.

The quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League show so clearly that the whole of Europe is still in chaos.

Paris Saint-Germain defeated Bayern Munich 3-2. This was the winner of a game precisely because of its lack of structure. The definition of Liverpool's 3-1 defeat of Real Madrid is drift, an arrhythmia that swings back and forth.

The only game to avoid chaos was Chelsea's 2-0 defeat of Porto, which included the sense of order that Thomas Tuchel brought to the Blues.

In this craziest, unprecedented season, the order is the golden dust – this makes Chelsea one of the leaders in winning the Champions League trophy in May.
Like Guardiola, Tuchel has also noticed the unique challenges faced by a season plagued by Covid-19, which explains why his Chelsea team is more capable of functioning and avoiding risks than we would expect a manager known for explosive power. And it's always the same-tone, acrimonious personality, and tactical flexibility.

It is worth noting that a man who is known for constantly adjusting his formation has deployed only one so far: 3-4-2-1, he squeezed 8 of the 10 outfield players into the center of the court.

Tuchel attracted the team inward and attracted the ball to a group of midfielders. Like Guardiola, he has always focused on body shape and discipline to ensure that Chelsea is always under control.

Stamford Bridge players swing up and down in a firm posture, and their movements are far stricter than those led by Frank Lampard, so their defensive record has been significantly improved.

Fast-paced football, interchangeable positions, will appear later. In Saturday's exciting first-half show against Crystal Palace, these games will only appear briefly when the dial is turned on.

For now, careful consideration of moving and passing is a planned attempt to gain a foothold on the battlefield when the default value is floating. When those who refuse to adapt to the new normal find themselves lost and drifting.

Chelsea will be in a stable state before the second leg against Porto this week, and the semi-finals against Liverpool or Real Madrid will follow.

A week ago, Porto was forced to succumb in Seville. It hardly needs to be analyzed in depth to see that Sergio Conceicao's stoop and the conservative side will have difficulty overthrowing in the same place on the return journey. The two balls have a deficit.

Tuchel's extremely stable formation and the sharpness of the midfielder led by the indomitable Mason Mount should easily be comparable to the first round of victory.
Speaking of the last four games, frankly, Real Madrid and Liverpool are everywhere. Madrid's defeat of the Reds at the Stefano Stadium was surprisingly exciting, because there was no suppression in the midfield and Toni Kroos was the leader. In short, when the side of Zinedine Zidane participates in the sport like the rest of us, Liverpool makes Real look good.

If they face Chelsea in the semifinals, their aging midfielder and vague tactical plan make them the second favorite. After all, in pandemic seasons of anxiety, blurred edges and tremors, control teams usually perform well.

Manchester City is the best example, and Chelsea may indeed be opponents in the finals, and the FA Cup semi-final between the two teams this Saturday will provide us with some indications of how the potential Champions League matchup might proceed.

Regardless of the outcome, we can reasonably predict a slow midfield battle and a fierce battle for control, which is no different from the last two meetings between Tuchel and Guardiola: 0- 0 defeated De Krasik.

Football often makes people escape reality and develop habits that reflect the times we live in. An interesting coincidence is that the bar reopened and life gradually returned, just as the football season became active in April and May.

But be warned: the public may not be on the streets in this week's gale package, and those who do may find themselves a bit at sea, emotionally overwhelmed by the sudden chaos. Most of us will come out more cautiously, in the blink of an eye; feel the way we are; fix our feet firmly on the ground

This is how Tuchel started his life at Chelsea and how he will continue to play, even as he progresses towards the climax of the Champions League.

This will keep them stable. It can even win trophies for them.
